VelvetAuth — License keys & user auth
License keys and user auth for your apps
Issue license keys, authenticate users, and protect your apps with a simple API.
I kept running into the same wall: every time I shipped a desktop or paid app, I had to rebuild licensing, login, HWID, sessions, and “is this user still allowed in?” from scratch. Existing auth panels were either too heavy, too opaque, or built for a different kind of product than what I was making.
I wanted one dashboard where I could create an app, issue keys, see who’s online, kick a session, ship an update, and call a simple API from C#, Go, or PHP, without standing up my own auth backend every time.
VelvetAuth started as that missing piece for my own projects. Once it worked, it felt obvious other indie developers needed the same thing: license keys, user auth, and control in one place, without making security the whole job.
