Velo Converter
Fast, tactile, multi-unit converter for iPhone
Velo makes conversion feel fast, effortless, and fun. Compare multiple units side by side, and see each value update instantly as you scroll. Whether you’re planning across timezones, converting distances, comparing currencies, or working through measurements for a recipe, Velo gives you a faster and more intuitive way to do it. Designed with a clean, focused interface, Velo helps you explore different values instead of typing through clunky forms.
I’m excited to share Velo Converter, a fast, interactive unit converter for iPhone.
I started building Velo because I kept running into one specific problem: planning across time zones with friends, family, and coworkers around the world kept turning into a small scheduling puzzle. I needed a better way to look ahead and see how someone else’s day lined up with mine, without constantly doing the mental math.
That became the first version of Velo: a timezone converter built around a scrollable ruler. As I kept working on it, I tried applying the same interaction to other types of conversions and realized it scaled much better than I expected. What started as a tool for time zones gradually turned into a broader converter for everyday values and measurements.
Velo now supports time zones, distance, temperature, weight, speed, volume, area, and currency. You can compare multiple values side by side, scroll to adjust the active value, and watch everything update instantly.
Velo just launched on the App Store, and I’d love your feedback!
I’m especially curious:
- Does this interaction feel useful to you?
- Which conversion mode would you use most?
- What features would make this app worth keeping on your home screen?
Thanks for checking it out.
