Vedara
Vedic astrology for people who hate horoscopes
Vedara is for the astrology-curious and astrology-sceptical. Unlike generic horoscope apps, it adapts explanations to your knowledge level, removes doom-and-gloom language, and turns complex Vedic calculations into practical guidance. Every reading is unique to the user, based on their natal chart, current location and live planetary transits. The standout feature is our timing engine: clear suggestions for when to act, wait, reflect or plan ahead.
I’m a former astrology sceptic and I still believe that our destiny is in our hands.
What I never liked about astrology was the feeling that I was being “programmed” about bad days because of some planets. I also had different astrologers tell me different things in the past, which made me question the whole thing even more.
Then someone I really respect said to me:
“It’s just a cosmic weather forecast. There are days you fight the current. Other days, you let the tide carry you.”
That changed how I looked at it.
I started researching Vedic astrology and quickly realised there was no way I could keep all the terminology, meanings and calculation workflows in my head.
As a software developer, my solution was to build something simple, useful and reliable.
That became Vedara.
My main focus was accuracy and building a deterministic engine. I only use AI to translate complex astrology language into simple English, not to make up readings.
This is my first B2C app, so don’t judge too harshly. I’m looking forward to answering your questions and hearing your comments.

Who hunted Vedara?
Vedara was hunted by Lana Korzhuk. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it.
