Vairi
AI friendship matching with shared activities
Vairi helps people rebuild their social circle through AI-powered friendship matchmaking. Its machine-learning system improves matches over time by learning from users’ preferences, interactions and existing friendships. An AI Concierge supports each connection, while co-watching, co-listening, games and guided activities help matches become meaningful friendships. Users can also pitch and vote on new features.
Hey Product Hunt. I'm Simone, founder of Vairi.
Quick question: how many people could you call right now to do something tonight? Not text, not DM. Call.
Most adults I ask go quiet. And it's not because people are broken. The tools are. Everything we've been given either optimizes for engagement (feeds, swipes, streaks) or, lately, for replacing people outright: AI companions, AI girlfriends, chatbots built to keep you talking to the software.
Vairi points the same technology the other way. It interviews you about how you handle conflict, where your energy comes from, what your weeks actually look like. Then it introduces you to a human, and it sticks around just enough to help the friendship actually happen, learning from how you connect so the next introduction is sharper than the last. A mutual friend who knows you both and keeps making better guesses. The only metric it optimizes for is a friendship that survives past the second hangout.
The part people love most: you don't have to go anywhere to start. Every match comes with something to do together from your couch. A co-watch room for a film, a shared Spotify queue you build between you, online games. No "so what do you do" small talk, no pressure to meet a stranger in person before you feel ready. Friendship that starts in your living room and leaves when you want it to.
Your name, photo, and exact location stay hidden until you both choose to share them. One person asking commits the other to nothing.
Two things we're upfront about:
Friendship research puts a casual friend at roughly 50 hours of shared time. Vairi can't cheat that, and nothing can. What it does is find someone worth logging those hours with, and give you a way to bank them that doesn't feel like work.
We're live in London and New York only. On purpose. A small pool of well-matched people beats a million strangers, and we only add cities when the matching earns it.
The lonely aren't a niche. They're most of us, some Tuesdays. If that's ever been you, this was built for you.
Tell me what you think of the matching philosophy, especially if you disagree!

Who hunted Vairi?
Vairi was hunted by Simone Rainieri. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
