We built Vacation Buddy because annual leave is too easy to waste, especially as an expat trying to balance work, public holidays, family visits, and travel plans across different countries. Many people either forget to use their leave, plan too late, or miss the chance to turn a few days off into a longer break.
At the same time, most travel deals start with destinations and prices, not with the user’s actual time off. That felt backwards.
Vacation Buddy started as a simple annual leave tracker, but the idea evolved as the problem became clearer. First, it became a leave optimizer that helps users combine annual leaves, weekends, and public holidays. Then it grew into a smarter destination engine that suggests trips based on when users can actually travel.
