UseBite
Snap meals. AI tracks calories & when you're burning fat.
Photograph any meal — home-cooked, restaurant, packaged, or street food — and UseBite's AI estimates the calories, protein, carbs and fibre. No barcodes, no database hunting. The thing no other tracker does: UseBite shows in real time whether you're burning fat right now or about to flip into storing fat — and how many kcal you have before that happens. So you know when to eat and when not to. Daily targets adapt to your real weight trend. Android · free · no subscription.
Hey Product Hunt 👋
I'm Simon. I built UseBite because I'd quit every other calorie tracker after a few weeks — scanning barcodes, digging through databases of near-matches, guessing portions, and for home-cooked / mixed / non-Western food the numbers were a coin flip anyway.
So I built something I'd actually use: photograph the meal and the AI estimates the calories, protein, carbs, fat and fibre. No barcode, no database. I used it daily for a few months and finally started understanding *why* my weight wasn't moving — not just "you ate X calories", but in real time whether my body was digesting, burning through glycogen, or burning fat, and how many hours until I'd tip into fat-burn.
That last part is the thing I genuinely couldn't find anywhere else. Every other tracker shows kcal in vs kcal out, today's target, done. The hour-by-hour energy state is what made me realise *when* you eat matters as much as *what*.
Two smaller things:
• Your daily target adapts to your real weight trend, instead of a static number a formula spat out on day one.
• Free, no subscription.
After family and friends started asking for the install link and using it themselves, they pushed me to release it publicly — so here it is. Honest feedback welcome, especially anywhere the AI estimates feel off. Thanks for taking a look 🙏

Who hunted UseBite?
UseBite was hunted by Simon Gray. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it.
