Usage
Every AI plan limit, in your Mac's menu bar
Usage is a free macOS menu bar app that shows how much of your Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, and Antigravity plans you've used. No account, no server, analytics off by default.
Like many in the developer community and probably beyond now, I pay for several subscriptions from Claude, Max, GPT Plus, Gemini and Cursor, and I use all most days.
I also recently became a father and have to optimize my time (and token usage). I’m always running at fully speed, jumping between Claude, Cursor, and Codex trying to make the most of my tokens from each.
The point of this app is simple, an easy way to check usage and maximize tokens across subscriptions.
This is my first stab at a fun little app so here you go ...
Usage lives under the notch. Hover the top of your screen, or press ⌘ U, and you get one progress bar per provider Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, Copilot, Antigravity. Click a row for the detail: session versus weekly, per model, and when each window resets. There's no Dock icon and no window. It's a two-second look and then it's gone.
There is nothing to sign up for. There is no Usage server. There is no account. The only thing it writes to disk is a state.json listing which providers you connected. It's free because why not! If you do like it check out some of my other projects!
What's next? You let me know what subscriptions you want added ... If you need another provider, or a number you wish it showed, tell me here or open an issue.
Enjoy and thank you!

Who hunted Usage?
Usage was hunted by Russell Van Curen. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
