URL Status Code Checker
Check URLs, redirects, and status codes in bulk
A free URL status code and redirect checker for individual pages, URL lists, and XML sitemaps. Find 404s, server errors, redirect chains, and final destinations, then copy the results or export everything to CSV. No signup or credit limits.
Hey Product Hunt,
I’m Logan Mosby, an SEO professional with more than 10 years of experience across technical, local, eCommerce, national, international, franchise, and enterprise SEO.
I built this free URL Status Code Checker because checking one URL is easy, but identifying broken pages, redirect chains, and server errors across an entire site usually requires paid software, an installation, or a restrictive credit system.
This tool handles both quick checks and larger audits.
You can use it to:
• Check a single URL instantly
• Paste and analyze a bulk list of URLs
• Import URLs directly from an XML sitemap
• Process sitemap index files containing multiple child sitemaps
• Add URLs from multiple sources without resetting the existing list
• Follow every redirect hop instead of showing only the final destination
• Identify 2xx, 3xx, 4xx, and 5xx responses
• Find redirect chains such as 301 → 302 → 200
• Expand individual results to review the complete redirect path
• Copy the findings or export them to CSV
• Run repeated checks without creating an account or using credits
I designed it for technical SEO audits, site migrations, pre-launch QA, post-launch reviews, broken-link cleanup, sitemap validation, and everyday troubleshooting.
The main distinction is that the tool does not stop at the first redirect or show only the final response. It exposes the complete chain, which makes it easier to find unnecessary hops, outdated destinations, mixed redirect types, and links that eventually resolve to an error.
It can identify the technical issue, but prioritization still matters. A broken internal link used across thousands of pages deserves more attention than an obsolete URL with no traffic or links. The tool provides the evidence, while the site context determines what should be fixed first.
I’d appreciate feedback on the bulk workflow, sitemap imports, redirect-chain reporting, and CSV export format.
