Uploom

Top comment

The idea for Uploom came out of pure developer frustration. Like many of you, I found myself managing data scattered across Google Drive, Dropbox, Mega, and AWS S3. That meant balancing multiple subscription bills, dealing with separate storage dashboards, and maintaining entirely different API integrations for my codebases. I wanted a way to pool all of that existing storage capacity into a single, cohesive, programmable space without syncing files or dealing with massive server overhead. So I engineered Uploom as a completely stateless, pass-through gateway. It acts as a single S3-compatible URL that links straight to your connected accounts, streaming files securely and directly between your clients and cloud providers without storing anything locally. Today, we're officially in beta, and anyone can connect their providers to create a unified storage pool. I'm eager to hear your feedback, answer any technical questions about the architecture, or discuss edge cases you'd like to see addressed. What cloud setups or automation pipelines are you planning to test this with?

Who hunted Uploom?

Uploom was hunted by Hesham Mohmed. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
