Unzipr

Preview, extract, and compress archives on Mac

Mac's default Archive Utility just dumps every file out the second you open a zip. No preview, no way to grab just one file, and still no native RAR support which is wild in 2026. Built Unzipr to fix that - you can browse what's inside an archive before extracting anything, pull out only the files you actually need, password protect your zips, compress with 7Z. Made with Flutter and native Swift, clean glassmorphic look on macOS.

Hey PH 👋 Built this because I was sick of macOS's Archive Utility just extracting everything the moment you open a zip. No preview, no grabbing one file out of a huge archive, and somehow still zero native RAR support. So Unzipr lets you preview what's inside before extracting, pull just the files you need, password protect zips you make, compress stuff down with 7Z when needed. For anyone curious on the build - it's Flutter for the UI, native Swift doing the macOS-specific heavy lifting (sandboxing, Keychain for a password vault, security scoped bookmarks for folder access). Honestly getting through App Review was harder than building half the features. Got rejected twice, happy to share what went wrong if anyone's dealing with IAP or subscriptions on their own Mac app right now. It's free to try, would really appreciate any feedback, especially what's missing or what'd make this an easy install for you.
