Unvail
Check images, video, music and text for signs of AI
Unvail (pronounced like "Unveil") is a web app and extension that shows how likely an image, video, audio or text is generated with AI, and checks the claims in articles against public sources. Works on all sites you browse. Currently only available in the US.
Hi Product Hunt, I'm Kishan, one of the makers of Unvail (say it like "unveil").
Most AI detectors do one thing. Unvail covers what you actually run into while scrolling, right on the pages you already use:
- Images: photos, art and screenshots, on any site you browse
- Video: samples frames as it plays and tells you which stretch looks generated
- Music and voice: tracks and spoken audio, including what is playing right now
- Text: paste anything, or check an article where you found it
- Claims: pulls out the statements in an article or a YouTube video and shows which outlets agree, which disagree, and which nobody independent has covered
Add the extension and it sits quietly until you want it: point at an image or video, click the badge, and the check begins. Nothing is sent anywhere until you ask. You get a likelihood with the reasoning, never a bare verdict, because detection is probabilistic and gets harder on content that has been edited, cropped or compressed.
It's free to use, no card required. For now it's an open beta in the United States, for people 18 and older.
We'd love your feedback, especially on any result you think it got wrong.

Who hunted Unvail?
Unvail was hunted by Kishan Bharghav V. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
