Unrushed
Remove Booking.com's fake urgency tactics
Booking.com faces an €8B lawsuit over fake "only 1 left!" messages, countdown timers, and inflated discounts designed to rush you into booking. Unrushed hides all of it automatically — scarcity claims, deal badges, suspicious "was" prices — replaced with plain neutral text. 100% free. No account. No data collected, ever. Toggle any feature on/off, or switch it all off with one click. Built solo. This is v1 — feedback welcome, more travel sites coming soon.
Hey Product Hunt 👋
I built this after noticing the same thing every time I
searched for a hotel: "Only 1 room left!", countdown timers,
"12 people looking at this right now" — the kind of stuff
that's designed to make you panic-book instead of compare
properly.
Turns out I wasn't imagining it. Booking.com is facing an
€8 billion lawsuit in the Netherlands right now over exactly
these tactics, and the UK CMA already made them promise to
stop similar things back in 2019.
So I built Unrushed — a free Chrome extension that detects
and hides this stuff automatically. No account, no data
collection, no catch. It just quietly cleans up the page.
This is v1, built solo over the last week. Would genuinely
love to hear what you think, what's missing, or if you spot
any urgency tactics on other travel sites I should add next
(Expedia and Agoda are already on my list).
Thanks for checking it out! 🙏b
