Unrevealed is the best way for product teams to manage their feature rollouts 🎯 Test your feature on a target audience 🫣 Perfect it in secret 🪄Reveal it to the world with a drag & drop
Hello Makers and Hunters, Thom from Unrevealed here 👋
It’s good to be back as a Maker, with something that’s been 1 year in the making!
How it started 🐣
A year ago, I was leading the Developer Experience team at Maze, trying to improve the life and productivity of 40+ fellow Engineers.
During that time, I’ve realized how much complexity was involved when answering this simple question in code:
Can the current user access feature X? 🤔
It always involves developers, but more often than not, technical stakeholders too. PMs need to run betas, GTM teams to sell features, Marketing teams to run A/B tests...
It shouldn’t require a Computer Science degree, pages of documentation, and 10 different steps to add a customer to a beta… but that’s what it feels like.
For years, we've been using feature flags to solve these problems. And they’re a great tool! But without the right data models around them, they're still a pretty primitive technology.
I wanted a tool with the power of feature flags, but that anyone could use. I couldn’t find anything out there, so I decided to build it myself. Unrevealed was born 👶
How it's going 💪
We started the private beta in April. After a few months of improvements to the product, and a summer spent bringing a whole new version to life, we are proud to call what we have built Unrevealed 1.0 🔥
Unrevealed is not just a tool for developers, anyone can use it:
🙅♂️ You’ll never have to “configure” a feature flag in Unrevealed
👉 Features simply get from one stage to the next when they’re ready
😌 You won't see any complex rules that don't matter for the stage the feature is in
But I didn’t leave a role in DevEx to stop caring about it, so we’ve got devs covered too:
🪄 Our SDKs are so simple they feel like magic
💅 They’re fully typed thanks to our code generator
🎛️ We have a Toggler component to switch features in dev or your preview environments
👨💻 You’ll get context about your features without leaving VSCode, thanks to our extension
Unrevealed is free up to 2 features, so you can try it for as long as you need (after a quick onboarding 😉)
Because we love this community ❤️, we're also offering a 30% discount on your first year if you found us here before October 31st! Just use the code PHFRIENDS30 when subscribing.
We’ll be here all day to answer all your questions!
