Uncorkables

Wine is confusing. We're not.

When you try to get into wine, you’re instantly crushed with a ton of new lingo. The varieties are difficult to tell apart - after all, they all look the same, have no character, and their exotic names mean nothing. The regions don’t ring a bell either. Actually, nothing rings a bell. So why not make the grape varieties into funny characters? After all, they all have a character, just buried in boring top-to-bottom text essays.

Top comment

Remembering all the new terms was the biggest problem for me when I was starting to learn about wine. There was no anchor - just a bunch of names I had never heard before. And a very serious text. It was almost like an old-fashioned memorization game. So I thought about visualizing the characteristics grape varieties have, and explaining them - along with the regions they're grown in - in a more... accessible language.
