Hey PH 👋🏻, I’m David, builder of Uncharted.
Uncharted is our ambitious attempt to create a more interactive learning experience than what’s already out there.
The idea is simple: instead of just reading or watching, learners should be able to build, experiment, and actually see what’s happening as they learn.
What makes Uncharted different is how you practice.
You can answer system design questions by drawing the architecture, learn programming by writing and running actual code in your browser, explore concepts through interactive code blocks and animations, or work through math on a visual canvas and watch the ideas move.
Each subject gets an experience that fits what you’re learning.
These experiences are combined with beginner-friendly lessons, so instead of learning a concept and practicing it later, you can put it into practice as you learn it. We built this first version for the Product Hunt × OpenAI Astra event, so Uncharted is still very early (and yes, the Astra launch definitely put some pressure on us 😅).
There’s still a lot we want to polish, experiment with, and improve. Especially around the curriculum and the learning experiences themselves. But we’re excited about the idea behind it: what if online learning felt less like consuming content and more like actually doing the thing you’re trying to learn?
