Ufofo
Free local folders for X bookmarks. Beam the chaos away.
ufofo adds free local folders to X bookmarks, right inside X. Because folders should not be a paid feature in 2026. Organize saved posts by topic, keep your data in your browser, and enjoy a tiny UFO animation abducting your bookmark chaos.
Hey Product Hunt 👋
I built ufofo because X bookmarks are useful, but one endless pile of saved posts is not a system.
The funny/annoying part: X actually has bookmark folders, but they’re tied to Premium. I do pay for X on one of my accounts, so this is not about saving a few dollars. It’s more that folders feel too basic to be a paid/per-account feature in 2026.
Especially if you use multiple X accounts.
So I built ufofo: a free Chrome extension that adds local folders to X bookmarks, right inside X.
What it does:
* lets you save bookmarked posts into local folders
* adds folder tabs directly to the X bookmarks page
* shows a folder-specific saved-post feed inside X
* lets you manage folders from a popup/settings page
* includes a tiny UFO animation that abducts saved posts into folders, because obviously 🛸🛸🛸
What it does not do:
* no backend
* no analytics
* no separate account
* no bookmark harvesting
I spent a lot of time making it feel like a missing native X feature, not a separate dashboard. Folder tabs live on the bookmarks page, and “All Bookmarks” brings back the normal X view.
Would love feedback on the UX, positioning, privacy wording, and whether the UFO is helping or making me look insane.
