Hey everyone! I built TypeFire because I was tired of retyping the same emails, addresses, and code snippets dozens of times a day. Apple's built-in text replacement is too limited and doesn't work in Terminal or most third-party apps. TextExpander wants $40/year for something that should be simple. Espanso is powerful but requires YAML config files in the terminal. So I built what I wanted: a native Mac app with a clean visual editor where you create snippets, assign short abbreviations, and they expand instantly as you type in any app. A few things that make TypeFire different: - Dynamic tokens: {{date}}, {{time}}, {{clipboard}}, and {{cursor}} make your snippets reusable templates - Rich text and Markdown snippets that expand as formatted HTML - A Spotlight-style launcher (Cmd+Shift+P) to search and paste any snippet - JavaScript and AppleScript snippets for automation - iCloud Sync across Macs It's completely free. No subscription, no trial, no feature limits. I built this as a tool I use every day and wanted to share it. Would love your feedback. What features would make this more useful for your workflow?
