TYPECLAMP
CSS clamp generator for responsive typography
Turn fixed Figma font sizes into responsive CSS clamp tokens with live previews, shareable presets, and exports for CSS, Tailwind, SCSS, Style Dictionary, Figma variables, and JSON.
Hey Product Hunt,
I built TYPECLAMP because responsive typography handoff is still weirdly messy.
In Figma, font sizes are fixed. In production, they need to respond to viewport width, keep the design value exact at the base viewport, avoid tiny mobile text, and avoid oversized headings on wide screens. Most clamp generators solve the math, but not the actual design workflow.
TYPECLAMP lets you define a type scale, set mobile/design/max viewports, preview the responsive behavior, load practical presets, and export the result as CSS, Tailwind v4, SCSS, Style Dictionary, Figma variables, or JSON.
It is free and intentionally focused: take font sizes from design, turn them into usable responsive tokens, and share the setup with a link.
I would love feedback from designers and front-end developers who deal with typography handoff in real projects.
