Hi Product Hunt! 👋 I built TxTTone because I wanted more control and variety from Android notification sounds. I didn't want my phone making the same sound over and over, and I wanted to know who was texting me without having to look at the screen. That started with custom sounds for individual contacts, but the idea grew quite a bit. TxTTone can now rotate through entire playlists of notification sounds, randomize sounds globally, assign different sound behavior to individual apps, customize contact ringtones, and import your own audio. One of my favorite parts after actually using it every day is how different my phone feels. Instead of hearing the same notification tone dozens of times, I'm constantly hearing different sounds. My goal became pretty simple: never hear the same notification twice. TxTTone is available now on Android, and I'd love to hear what you think or what you'd like to see added.
