tunnl.gg

Stable localhost URLs over SSH with no installs

Most tunnels hand you a new URL every time. tunnl.gg gives you the same one: connect as stable@proxy.tunnl.gg and your SSH key becomes your identity, so your public HTTPS URL never changes. Register a webhook or OAuth callback once and forget it. Nothing to install, no account, works on any machine with SSH, with a QR code and live request log in your terminal. Free to use. Pro adds your own subdomains, no time limits and a request inspector. Open-source (MIT) server.

Hey Product Hunt! 👋 I built tunnl.gg because I was tired of re-registering webhooks. Every time I restarted a tunnel I got a new random URL, so I had to update Stripe, GitHub or the OAuth callback again, and again. So tunnl.gg gives you the same URL every time, for free: ssh -t -R 80:localhost:3000 stable@proxy.tunnl.gg Your SSH key is your identity, so the URL follows your key across restarts, reboots and Wi-Fi changes. Register it once and forget it. A few other things I cared about: • Nothing to install and no sign-up: it's plain SSH, which is already on macOS, Linux and Windows. • Automatic HTTPS and WebSockets. • A QR code and a live request log right in your terminal, handy for testing on your phone. • The server is open source (MIT), so you can read exactly what it does or run your own. Pro ($5/month, billed yearly) adds names you choose like myapp.tunnl.gg, no time limits, no warning page for visitors, passwords and IP allowlists, and a request inspector with replay. I'd love to hear what you use tunnels for and what would make this more useful to you. I'll be here all day answering questions!
