TripLala grew from trips with my wife. Every "I wish it was all in one place" and "I wish it could do this" went in. Planning a trip is never just the itinerary. Schedule, packing, wishlist, souvenirs, money and to-dos live in one app, edited by everyone on the trip. • Packing sorted by the bag it goes in • A souvenir list, so you never buy for the same person twice • Prices in local currency, totals in yours • Uneven bill splits, too Free, with optional extras. iOS, Android, 9 languages.

Hi Product Hunt! I'm Daiki, an independent developer in Japan. TripLala started as an app for my wife and me. On every trip one of us would say "this would be so much easier if something just did it" — and I'd go home and build that thing. The app is all of those, stacked up. 🧳 Packing, by bag Standing at an airport, I could never remember whether the sunscreen was in the suitcase I'd just checked or the bag on my shoulder. So you register the bags you're actually taking — suitcase, carry-on, toiletry pouch — and put each item into one of them. You can see what's in what at a glance. The things you always bring save as a template for the next trip. 🎁 A souvenir list — the part I've never found in another app Halfway through a trip it becomes genuinely hard to remember who you've already bought for. You buy twice for one person and forget someone else completely, and you find out at the airport on the last day. So souvenirs get their own list: who it's for, what you're planning to get, what you actually bought, and what it cost. 💴 Money that doesn't ask you to do maths Most expense apps assume you're spending your own currency. Abroad that means converting every price in your head before you can even write it down. Here you set the rate once for the trip and enter the number on the tag. When someone covers a bill for the group, it works out who owes whom at the end. But the thing that actually made our trips tiring wasn't any one of those on its own. It was the commuting. Our last trip was scattered across apps: an itinerary app for the schedule, a to-do app for what to buy before leaving, an expense tracker for the money, a notes app full of places we wanted to go, a camera roll of screenshots — booking confirmations, opening hours, a restaurant someone recommended. And more. Every question started with guessing which app it was in. "Wait, where did I write that down?" So all of it lives in one place: itinerary, packing, to-dos, the wishlist of places, souvenirs, spending and splitting the bill. One app, one place to look. And it's shared — everyone on the trip edits the same thing, so nobody ends up being the only one keeping it up to date. It's been used in Japan for a while, and the feedback that kept coming back was that people were taking it abroad. So that's what the last months went into: 9 languages and 45 currencies. This is the first time I'm showing it outside Japan. Free, on iOS and Android. Over 2,800 downloads in Japan so far. If you travel, I'd really like to hear what still goes wrong for you. That is genuinely how every feature above got added.
