In August 2023 I wanted a cheap trip somewhere warm. I compared every airport in Germany, kept spreadsheets of hotels and flights, and watched prices double between two clicks. After four days I had tables full of prices and no trip.
So I started building the tool I was missing, next to finishing school. The first version got 921 users and German public TV coverage. Then I deleted it, because it was just a better search box.
The new tripbot is an AI travel agent. You tell it in one sentence what you feel like, or show it a photo, and it plans the whole trip: flights, hotel, day plans with walking routes and opening hours. It checks other dates and nearby airports for you and shows the total price including baggage before you book.
One rule shaped it: the AI never does the maths. Code computes every price and date; the model only understands you and writes.
