Trek

A travel journal that also splits the bill

Trek is a personal travel journal with built-in expense tracking. Tap "I'm here" at each stop, snap a photo, log the cost. At the end of the trip you get a timeline, a map, and the total spend. Travel with a group? Everyone logs their own stops — Trek auto-settles who owes whom (Splitwise-style). Share any trip as a public link. No auto-GPS, no social feed, no itinerary planning. One free trip forever; €19.99/yr unlocks unlimited.

Hey Hunters 👋 I built Trek because every travel app I tried fell into one of three traps: 1. Auto-GPS that drains your battery and feels like surveillance 2. Forces you to plan an itinerary before the trip even starts 3. Pretends to be a social network you didn't ask for Trek is the opposite. You tap "I'm here" at each stop — that's the entire interaction. Add a photo, a cost, a note if you want. At the end you see a timeline, a map, and the total spend. The part I'm most proud of is group mode: travel with friends → everyone logs their own stops and expenses → Trek auto-settles who owes whom (think Splitwise inside a journal). Multi-currency by default for trips that cross borders. Share the whole trip as a public link with one tap — friends see the map, stops, photos and the settlement. Built solo in Flutter + Supabase, 9 languages. iOS 15+ and Android 8+. 🎁 For Product Hunt: sign up in Trek with your email, then drop the same email in a comment below — I'll unlock Premium for you until the end of 2027. No promo code, no payment. Happy to answer anything about the stack, the decision to skip social features entirely, or why I think Polarsteps is solving a different problem.

Who hunted Trek?

Trek was hunted by 1TNT. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
