TradeHints
Stock comparisons that explain their reasoning
TradeHints compares stocks and shows more than an unexplained rating. Enter your holdings or stocks you are considering to receive model-generated suggested amounts, plain-English reasoning, stock-specific cautions, and expandable supporting analysis. It is free, requires no signup, and lets users inspect the factors behind every result.
Hi Product Hunt, I’m Daniel, the founder of TradeHints.
I built TradeHints because many stock-analysis platforms either overwhelm users with raw indicators or produce a score without clearly explaining how they reached it. I wanted to create something that made the result easier to inspect.
Users can enter stocks they own or are considering, along with a hypothetical amount. TradeHints then generates suggested amounts, explains the main factors behind each result, highlights a stock-specific caution, and provides expandable supporting analysis.
The system combines technical, market, forecasting, risk, and portfolio signals. As I developed it, the main challenge shifted from generating more data to presenting the analysis clearly. The initial explanation needed to be useful at a glance, while the expanded section needed to provide genuinely new detail rather than repeat generic language.
I also built a monthly walk-forward backtesting framework using point-in-time index membership, next-open execution, monthly rebalancing, and transaction costs to evaluate the system under more realistic historical conditions.
TradeHints is currently free, requires no signup, and does not execute trades or manage money.
I would particularly appreciate feedback on:
• Whether the reasoning is clear and specific to each stock
• Whether the suggested-amount format is easy to understand
• What information would make the results more useful or trustworthy
• Any bugs or confusing parts you encounter
Thanks for taking a look.

Who hunted TradeHints?
TradeHints was hunted by Daniel Rosen. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it.
