Hi Product Hunters 👋🏻 I spent the last 4 years learning to trade stocks, futures, options, you name it! But like many traders, I felt like I was running in place with no traction - impulsive decisions from FOMO, holding on too long from greed, or not knowing what to look for in a trade. 📉 That is until I started to journal my trades manually on TradingView (the popular charting app). I used their tool to place text bubbles throughout the life of my trades, writing about how I felt in each moment. For example: - I saw these moving averages cross here, so I decided to enter the trade here - I got nervous here after the trade suddenly went against me, but I held on - After seeing some choppy price action, I sold here so I don't give back profits After doing this many times, I started to see patterns in my trading in what I was doing right and wrong, and better retained this information after each trade.
