Tracks

Pro-grade music production in your browser — free, no signup

Tracks is a complete music production studio that runs entirely in your browser — multi-track recording, piano roll, synths, drums, a real mixer, effects, autotune, and WAV/MP3 export. No download, no account, no paywall. Recent builds add parametric EQ with LUFS metering, group buses, track freeze, SoundFont (.sf2) instruments, automation on anything, time-stretch, Web MIDI, a tempo map, and a session view — the pro-grade stuff usually locked behind a desktop DAW, free in a tab.

I'm Jay — I build tools so I can help more people get into things I care about. Tracks started as "why is there no real DAW that just opens in a browser?" Most browser music tools are either toys or trials with the good parts paywalled. Tracks isn't: multi-track recording, piano roll, synths, a proper mixer, parametric EQ + LUFS, group buses, freeze, SoundFonts, automation, time-stretch, Web MIDI, WAV/MP3 export — all free, no account, nothing stored on a server (your project stays on your machine). Open a tab, make a track, export it. Would love your honest feedback on what's missing before it feels like a desktop DAW. The app is in early review, so go easy on the testing. Who hunted Tracks?

Tracks was hunted by JFound. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
