Hi everyone 👋 I'll be honest about why we built this. A while back I watched a friend, genuinely brilliant at her job, get passed over again and again because her resume didn't have the "right" words in the right places. Meanwhile the recruiters I knew were just as stuck: smart people spending their evenings wrestling boolean search strings, sure they were missing good people, and they were. It felt backwards. The people are great. The matching is broken. So we made TraceRoster. The idea is simple: you create one profile, and instead of gaming keywords, you get found for what you can actually do. Recruiters just describe who they're looking for in plain language, and the search understands the meaning behind it. From there they can talk to you, shortlist, and keep things moving — without a dozen tabs open. Two things mattered to us more than anything: 1. It's free for candidates to get discovered. Being seen shouldn't be a paywall. 2. You stay in control — your privacy settings, and an employer blocklist if there are people you'd rather not be visible to. We're early, and we're sure there's plenty we haven't gotten right yet. That's really why we're here. If you've recruited or job-hunted recently — what's the part that's felt most broken or unfair to you? I'd love to hear it, the good and the rough. Thank you for taking a look 🙏
