Top comment

I built Traceptor because debugging network traffic on Mac and iOS meant juggling a different tool for every step — one for inspecting requests, another for mocking APIs, another for testing on-device. Nothing talked to each other. Traceptor puts it all in one native app: SSL inspection, rules (block, map local/remote, match & replace), live breakpoints for editing traffic on the fly, device screen mirroring for iPhone/iPad/Android, and screen recording so you can capture and share a bug in seconds. It started as a simple proxy inspector, but the more I used it for real debugging sessions, the clearer it became that seeing traffic isn't the hard part — acting on it fast (block a call, patch a response, capture what just happened) is. That's what shaped most of what's in the app today. Would love to hear what you're debugging day to day — happy to answer anything about how it works under the hood!
