I was inspired to build this when I helped a friend with scorekeeping and tracking ranking for her pickleball tournament. Using paper and pencil to document scores and spreadsheets to enter and track was one of the more stressful things I've done. I felt so disorganized and like there had to be a better way. A week later, I started working on this app, TournamentSimple.
It evolved from just a digital way to enter scores and automate rankings to a way to automate partner pairings, matchups, splitting into pools, and so much more. I started with a problem I experienced and then increasingly thought about how to make the tournament managers experience better and better.
