TOTLE

To Teach, Learn and Endeavor

TOTLE is a human intelligence infrastructure where knowledge is exchanged, not just consumed. Learn and teach at a concept level through focused 1:1 sessions. Humans handle learning and teaching, while AI manages everything else including matching, verification, and outcomes, thus creating a self-sustaining knowledge transfer ecosystem.

What inspired us to build TOTLE was a simple but uncomfortable realization: the world has scaled information, but not intelligence. Despite millions of courses, platforms, and creators, learning is still fragmented, unverifiable, and often disconnected from real understanding. At the same time, there are millions of individuals who can teach specific concepts deeply, but there’s no structured infrastructure to channel that intelligence. We started asking a different question: What would it look like if human intelligence itself was treated as infrastructure? That led to two core ideas: 1. A Human Intelligence Infrastructure Instead of content-first learning, TOTLE is built around people-to-people, concept-level knowledge transfer. Every interaction is focused on a single, clearly defined unit of understanding (what we call an Atomic Catalogue Unit (ACU)). This allows learning to be precise, outcome-driven, and measurable. 2. A Self-Sustaining Knowledge Transfer Ecosystem We believe the most powerful systems are circular. On TOTLE, a user isn’t just a learner or a teacher. They can be both, depending on the topic. You learn what you don’t know, and you teach what you do. This creates a compounding loop where knowledge flows continuously, without relying on centralized content creation. How our approach evolved: We initially explored traditional models like recorded content, cohort-based learning, even marketplace tutoring. But each had the same flaw. They optimized for distribution, not understanding. So we rebuilt from first principles: Break knowledge into the smallest meaningful units Enable 1:1 interactions for depth, not scale illusion Use AI not to replace humans, but to verify learning outcomes Let the ecosystem grow organically through dual-role users Where do you think current learning platforms fall short the most—depth, trust, or outcomes?

Who hunted TOTLE?

TOTLE was hunted by TOTLE. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
