I'm Christian, a Danish founder living in Mexico City. I built Torito because every time I filled up I had no idea if the station I was at was overcharging me — and in Mexico right now, with a government price cap that many stations are ignoring illegally, that question actually matters.
Torito pulls real-time gas, LP Gas, and EV charging data from Mexico's official CNE database and shows you the cheapest options nearby. No app store, no account, no friction — just open toritoapp.com on your phone.
But the part I'm most excited about is what comes next: we're building a crowdsourced quality index based on km/L reported by drivers — the only way to detect adulterated fuel at scale without lab equipment. Roughly 30% of Mexico's fuel consumption is estimated to involve adulteration, and nobody is measuring it station by station. We will be.
