Similar to GeoGuessr, this game places you at a random spot on Google Earth instead of Street View. You must guess your location by placing a pin on a 2D map, and your score depends on the accuracy of your guess.
The idea came to be this past new years. Took me a few months of part time coding to get it working well enough to launch to the public.
The concept is simple. TopoGuesser is like GeoGuessr but it uses Google Earth instead of Street View. If you're not familiar, it's a geography guessing game where you're placed somewhere random on Google Earth and tasked with placing a pin on a 2D map indicating where you think you're located. You're then scored based on how close your guess was to the actual location.
