Top3Picks started because I needed an AI gift finder that actually worked. Twenty tabs deep into my sister's birthday, I bought the wrong thing twice in a row and realized every "best of" article I was reading was ranked by affiliate commission instead of whether the gift would land. The price-comparison sites were no better — a grid of numbers, no opinion, no shopping assistant. So we built the tool I wanted: type what you (or someone else) needs, set a budget, and the AI shopping assistant compares prices and reads reviews across Amazon, Best Buy, Walmart, Flipkart, and Daraz — then hands back exactly 3 picks with pros, cons, value-for-money scores, and where to buy.
A few choices we made on purpose:
→ **3 picks, never a list.** A list shifts the decision back to you. Three with reasons is a decision.
→ **Gift finder + deal finder + buying guide in one.** No mode switch. The same query works for "wireless earbuds under $100" and "coffee gift for dad, $50".
→ **No affiliate links.** Every retailer link is plain. The ranking is the recommendation, not the auction.
→ **160+ currencies.** Auto-detected. The app respects that "under $50" in the US ≠ "under ₹4000" in India. Local stores show up first in emerging markets.
→ **Side-by-side comparison.** Tap two picks → see the winner with explained reasoning. The runners-up that almost made the cut are listed too, with why they didn't.
→ **No account, no tracking.** Open and search. That's it.
What's next on the roadmap: a "price drop watch" for items you save, deeper category filters (open-box / refurbished as first-class options, not buried), and a share-card mode for couples / families deciding together.
