Toolyard

Free PDF, image and text tools that never upload your files

I got tired of converter sites that make you upload private documents to someone else's server, so every tool on Toolyard runs in the browser. Merge and split PDFs, turn iPhone HEIC photos into JPGs, compress images, convert units, count words. Nothing leaves your device, there's no sign-up and no watermark.

Hi Product Hunt! Most "free" PDF and image converters upload your files to their server. I wanted ones that don't, so I built Toolyard: merge and split PDFs, HEIC to JPG, image compression and resizing, unit converters and text tools. Every file is processed locally in JavaScript, so you can check in dev tools that nothing is uploaded. It's free and ad-supported, and it's available in nine languages. Feedback and tool requests are welcome.

Who hunted Toolyard?

Toolyard was hunted by Dustin Smith. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post.
