What inspired Voice Studio?
I was paying $29/mo for TTS tools that watermarked MP3s and charged extra for transcription. As part of Toolscase ecosystem (toolscase.com), we wanted one workspace that does both: script → voiceover AND audio/video → text, with commercial rights.
Problem we solved: Most TTS = robotic, 1 language, no STT. Our approach: open models Kokoro-82M (22 natural voices, 9 languages) for TTS + Whisper large-v3-turbo for STT (~100 languages). Added visual controls for speed/pitch/pauses, chapter markers, speaker renaming, translations, and background music mixing - everything exports as MP3/WAV/SRT/VTT with no watermark.
How it evolved: Started as simple TTS, users asked for transcription of their own voiceovers. So we merged both. Then YouTubers asked for multi-character voices in one file - we added that. Now it's full voice studio with 20k chars + 30 mins transcription free, no card needed.
