I built Toodo for my girlfriend and me.
We kept running into the same thing, not arguments, not drama, just... friction.
One of us would handle everything mentally, the other wouldn't know where to jump in.
We tried shared Notes, Notion, Reminders. They all worked fine, but they felt like work. Nobody opens a Notion database to check if the sheets are done.
I wanted something we'd actually enjoy opening together. Something that made splitting tasks feel natural, not like a chore negotiation. So I built the heart mechanic, you check your half, she checks hers, and when both sides meet the heart fills up. It's a tiny thing, but it completely changed how we think about shared tasks. It feels like teamwork instead of a to-do list.
