Tone & Fit

Your color season and palette, from one selfie

Most "what's my color season" tools are quizzes: you tell them your hair is medium brown and they tell you what you just told them. Tone & Fit measures undertone, contrast and chroma from one selfie, names one of the 12 seasons, and shows how confident it is rather than pretending to be certain. You get 40+ named shades with hex codes you can paste into a shopping filter. Free in the browser, no account. Your photo is processed for the one request, then discarded.

Hi Product Hunt, I built Tone & Fit because every "what's my color season" answer online is a quiz. You tell it your hair is medium brown and your eyes are hazel, and it tells you what you already told it. Meanwhile a real in-person color analysis costs a few hundred dollars and needs an appointment. So: one selfie instead. It measures undertone, contrast and chroma from the photo, names one of the 12 seasons, and shows you how confident it is rather than pretending to be certain. Then it builds the palette: 40+ named shades with hex codes, grouped into signature, everyday, accent and neutral, so you can paste a hex straight into a shopping filter. Two things worth saying plainly. The web tool is free and needs no account. Upload a photo, get your season and five of its colors. Nothing to install, and you can decide about the app after you have seen whether the result rings true. All 12 palettes are free to read too, hex codes and all. Your photo is not stored. It goes over an encrypted connection to our own server and on to Google's Gemini API for the analysis, then it is discarded. It is not on-device, and I would rather say that than imply otherwise. What I would most like feedback on: whether the season it gives you matches what you already believed about yourself, and if not, where it went wrong. The thresholds were calibrated against labelled portraits rather than analyst-graded photos, so disagreements are genuinely useful to me. Android is in preparation, there is a launch list on the site. Viru
