Hi Product Hunt I'm from India, where finding a rental works differently than most places. There's no listing site that actually works - the real inventory is on handwritten TO-LET boards taped to gates, walls, and electricity poles. You walk the neighbourhood you want to live in, photograph boards, and type numbers into your phone one at a time. The alternative is a broker, who takes a month's rent as commission. ToLet Scanner is the shortcut: point your camera at a board, OCR pulls the number, and you call or WhatsApp the owner directly. You can save leads, see boards other people have scanned nearby, and flag ones already taken so the next person doesn't waste the call. Three honest notes: - India-only. The whole thing assumes To-Let board culture, which is very specific to here. - It never auto-calls anyone. You decide when to reach out. - OCR on handwritten cardboard in bad light is genuinely hard. There's a manual fallback for when it fails - I'd rather ship that than claim accuracy I don't have. This is my second app. I launched the first one without telling anyone and it got 5 downloads, so I'm trying to do this part properly. Happy to talk about the OCR pipeline, or about why Indian rental search is such a mess.
