Hi everyone, I'm Dawson, the maker of Toad. The problem: most AI agents only work on the machine they run on. If you own more than one machine, you end up copying commands and files between them yourself. How it works: you install a small background service called the tadpole on each machine. It connects out to Toad, so there are no open ports to forward. Then you add one MCP server to Claude, Claude Code, Cursor, or any MCP client. Every machine gets run_command, read_file, write_file, and list_dir, named after the machine. You can switch each tool off per machine. Commands and file writes ask for your approval in your agent, and every call is logged, including blocked ones. Toad is free for one machine. The paid plan covers every machine you own for $96 a year. I'd love to hear what you'd have your agent do across your machines.

Who hunted Toad?

Toad was hunted by Dawson Dominguez. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
