Write or import a program, inspect its toolpath, and watch the machining process in 3D directly in your browser. Early release—not a substitute for verification on a real machine.
Hi Product Hunt! 👋
I’m the maker of TNC Sim, a free and open-source simulator for Heidenhain Klartext CNC programming.
TNC Sim lets you write or import an NC program, inspect the toolpath, and watch the machining process in 3D directly in your browser. It also includes interactive lessons, common machining cycles, Q parameters, radius compensation, several tool shapes, and an Android app that works fully offline.
This is an early release, so it is not intended to replace verification on a real control or machine. I would especially appreciate feedback from CNC programmers, instructors, students, and anyone familiar with Klartext programming.
Which commands, cycles, or learning features would make TNC Sim more useful to you?
Thanks for taking a look!
