tlabel (TouchLabel AI)
Annotate any tactile sensor in 3 lines of Python.
A sensor-agnostic tactile data annotation toolkit for robotics researchers. Load, review, and label data from GelSight Mini, DIGIT, PaXini, and more — with zero config.
Hey PH community! 👋
We're a small team of robotics researchers who've spent far too many nights wrestling with proprietary sensor formats. You know how it goes: you finally get your GelSight Mini working, then someone loans you a DIGIT, and suddenly you're writing another parser from scratch.
tlabel started as an internal tool to solve our own pain. We realized we were rebuilding the same annotation workflow for every new sensor, every new experiment. So we spent the last year turning our mess into something we could share.
This is our first major open-source release. It's MIT licensed, it's free forever, and we genuinely want this to become a community project. If you work with tactile sensors, we'd love your feedback — whether that's a feature request, a bug report, or just telling us which sensor we forgot to support.

PyPI: pip install tlabel
We're also working on a paper about cross-sensor generalization using tlabel's unified format. If that sounds relevant to your research, let's talk.
Thanks for checking us out. ❤️
