I built TinyChip because I wanted a music tool that was designed around making music for games rather than adapting a general-purpose DAW to the job. The idea grew into a complete workstation where you can design instruments, build drum kits, compose and arrange music, and prepare it for use inside a game project. I also wanted it to work for people with very different levels of musical experience. You can work directly with notes and instruments, or use things such as Composer Clips and chord-based tools to get ideas moving quickly and then take control from there. TinyChip has grown considerably during development, but the aim has stayed the same: keep the workflow focused, visual and useful for game creators. I'd be interested to hear how other developers and composers approach music for their games, and what you'd find most useful in a tool like this.
