TimeLokator
Freelancer time tracking without client logins
TimeLokator is time tracking for freelancers where your clients don't need an account. Track your hours, send one link, and your client sees logged work, costs and the current total instantly - no login, no password. They can request new work or ask to be billed in one click. Includes invoicing, custom branding and per-client rates. Hosted in Germany, no tracking cookies.
Every freelancer knows the email: "Hey, quick question - how many hours are we at so far?"
I'm Daniel, a freelance web designer and developer from Germany. I got tired of stopping work to put together a status update, so I built TimeLokator as a solo project.
You track your hours. Your client gets one link. They open it and see everything - logged work, descriptions, costs, the current total - with no account, no password, no invite email. From there they can request new work or ask you to bill them, in one click.
On your side: clients with individual hourly rates and VAT, invoices, marking work as paid, and your own logo and colors on the client dashboard.
A few honest notes: this is a one-person project, it's built for freelancers and small studios rather than larger teams, and it's a responsive web app rather than a native mobile app. Hosting is in Germany, and there are no tracking or marketing cookies.
14-day trial, no credit card. There's a $9.95/month plan, and a $99 one-time lifetime option if you'd rather not add another subscription - that one's permanent, not a launch gimmick.
The no-login dashboard is the part I'm most curious to hear about. If you've shared hours with a client before what broke down for you?

Who hunted TimeLokator?
TimeLokator was hunted by Daniel Jung. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
