Thoughts for Mac

Capture notes from your menubar using text, images or voice

Thoughts is a menubar app for your Mac which helps you keep notes quickly using text, images and voice. Add your favorite agent API key and it'll also help transcribe audio, context images to text and help do simple text-tranforms like capitalization, translations and spelling fixes. Think of it as a fun small multi-tool for your menubar.

👋 Hey Hunters! I'm back with a new menubar app, the succession to my popular app Thought Train, from 2018.

When I built Thoughts, I wanted it to be easier to use, more fun and quirky but also more powerful.

I've made it free so that anyone with time on their hands can use it, if you have any questions about the build, thought process (pun!?) or anything, let me know in the comments.

Note: "Yes" the app was coded using Cursor, and after building products for almost 20yrs now I'm pretty happy to say that using AI helped really accelerate the idea that I've had on my mind for years.
