Hey everyone, I built ThenAndThere to solve a problem I encounter almost every day - something breaks in the UI, I know the backend probably logged why and then I spend the next ten minutes trying to find that one log line.
It happens all the time, you hit a 4xx or a 500, open CloudWatch or GCP, pick a log group, look at timestamps, scroll to find the correct request... Worst when you’re mid-flow in the app and really don’t want to context-switch into the console.
ThenAndThere does that correlation for you. You map an API host to its cloud logs (AWS CloudWatch or GCP Cloud Logging). When a request fails, the extension queries logs around that moment and shows ranked matches in a Chrome side panel. Request IDs get priority when present. No backend instrumentation required.
