Top comment

Hey everyone, I wanted to drop the first comment to share a bit of the raw story behind why this archive exists and how it was built. The internet has become incredibly loud. When you are in a dark place or feeling completely overwhelmed, looking for comfort online usually leads to two things: clinical, sterile medical checklists, or platforms optimized to blast you with cookie-consent banners and pop-up ads. I’m a student and full-stack developer, and I wanted to use my free time to build the exact opposite. I wanted to create a digital sanctuary. A completely free, private, ad-free, and interactive gallery of small, everyday tethers to the present moment. I built the platform using Next.js, Supabase, and Vercel. Early on in development, I actually shared a sneak peek of the design online and got some pretty brutal feedback that the UI and copy looked "sterile" and like "AI slop." That was a tough pill to swallow, but it completely changed my approach. I went back to the code, stripped away the template feel, and completely reworked the animations, typography, and micro-interactions to make the space feel handcrafted, alive, and genuinely human. The core project is entirely independent, self-funded, and completely ad-free to protect the people browsing it. I would love to hear your honest thoughts on the UI/UX, the transitions, or how the space makes you feel. Thank you so much for checking it out!

The Weight was hunted by Ali Khemakhem. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it.
