Hi everyone! I'm Hayden, and I made The Spider's Web.

This started as a fix for my own campaign prep. I had NPCs, factions, and plot threads scattered across a dozen notes, and every session I'd forget who owed whom - or that the friendly innkeeper was secretly the villain's mother.

The turning point was realizing my Obsidian vault was already a web. My [[links]] were relationships; I just couldn't see them. So I built something that draws the map for me: drop in your cast, connect them with typed relationships (ally, enemy, secret, romantic...), and the force-directed layout untangles the whole conspiracy automatically.

A few things I built it around:
- Free, no account, no login. Everything runs in your browser, and your campaign data never leaves your machine unless you export it.
- Obsidian import is one click - notes become nodes, [[links]] become relationships.
- Player-safe share links, so your table can see the web without seeing your secrets.

Pro ($10/mo) adds portraits, character sheets, session journal, and prep tools for DMs who want them - but the core map is free forever.

I'd genuinely love feedback: what's missing that would make you move your prep over? I've got a roadmap, but your answers decide what gets built next.

The Spider's Web was hunted by Hayden Kelly. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it.
