Hi Product Hunt 👋 I built The Outdoor Club because my riding club's actual operating system was a group chat with four hundred unread messages in it. The route was agreed somewhere in there and nobody could find it. Who paid for the fuel was somebody's memory of a photo of a receipt. Half the group was on the highway and the only way to know where was to ring them one at a time. And the blood group of the person who came off at the last bend was on a form in a drawer at home. None of that is a chat problem. It's a club problem. Clubs have members and roles, a calendar, a set of books, and a duty of care towards people who travel together to places with no signal. A chat window can't hold any of it. So the app gives a club the shape it already has: 🗓️ Outings - itinerary, enrolment window, appointed captains, status from planned to under way to done. A nine-day mountain road trip, a sales offsite and a Sunday potluck all run on the same rails. 🗺️ A live map for the day itself - turn sharing on and your club sees who's ahead, who's sweeping, who stopped. Keeps updating with the phone in a pocket. One position per member, no route history, and switching it off deletes it. 💸 Money everybody can see - shared outing expenses that work out who owes whom, plus a club ledger with receipts attached that every member can read. No money moves through the app, which is exactly why nobody has to trust it with any. 👥 A roster that means something - members, treasurers, admins. Blood group and emergency contact where someone can reach them at the roadside. A garage of vehicles and their papers that follows you into every club you join. 🌱 Community impact - 291 volunteering activities across 13 countries, with kit lists and safety notes already written. Every member who turns up gets a serialised certificate naming the club, the cause and the partner - the document a school or an employer's volunteering scheme actually asks for. On privacy, because the app asks for real things. It's deliberately not a social network: no public directory, no discovery, no way to reach a club that didn't invite you. No adverts, no advertising identifier, no analytics, no crash-reporting SDK. One club cannot read another's members, posts, ledger or map - and that's a row-level rule in Postgres rather than a check in the app, so it holds even against a modified client. It's tested as a security property against a real database before every release. Free on iOS and Android. No ads, no in-app purchases, no subscriptions. One heads-up if you install: clubs are invitation-only, so a fresh signup lands in the "start a club" wizard rather than in somebody else's club. Tap Start a Club, name it, and you're the admin - inviting two friends is enough to see the map and the expense split do their thing.
