The Maze
A horror maze game built by a data engineer using Claude
The Maze is a dark atmospheric escape game — navigate torch-lit corridors, avoid a creature hunting you, and find the exit before time runs out. The twist: the maze walls shift and change, so every run feels different. Built in 2 months via vibe coding with Claude. I'm a data engineer with zero game dev experience. I described what I wanted, Claude wrote the code, I tested and reported bugs, Claude fixed them. Shipped to Google Play.
I'm a data engineer, not a game developer. I built a mobile game anyway — here's how.
I've always wanted to make a game but had zero experience with Android development. Two months ago I decided to try vibe coding with Claude.
The process: I described what I wanted, Claude wrote the code, I tested it, described the bugs, Claude fixed them. Repeat. No tutorials — just conversation.
The honest truth: I don't fully understand every line of code in my own game. But it works, it's on the Play Store, and I shipped it.
Would love your feedback — especially from anyone experimenting with vibe coding!

Who hunted The Maze?
The Maze was hunted by Ivan Artemev. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
