The Long Trail
Oregon Trail, but for your finances.
A free free browser game about the one habit that actually builds wealth: sticking to your plan. Travel from your first paycheck to your goal, one decision at a time, and try not to chase the hot tip. I'm a marketer, not an engineer, so I built it with AI in a weeke browser game. Travel from your first paycheck to the finish line. You win by sticking to your plan, not by getting rich.
The game is Oregon Trail, but for your finances. You travel from your first paycheck to your goal, one decision at a time. The twist: you don't win by getting rich. You win by writing a plan and sticking to it when the trail turns hard and the hot tip is screaming.
It's free, about five minutes, no signup. I'd genuinely love feedback on the writing and the endings, and I want to hear what rank you finish with.

Thanks for taking a look.
I lead marketing and growth with financial advisors, and I'm not an engineer. The Long Trail started from a simple frustration: most financial content is built to be read, and people scroll right past it. I wanted to make something people would actually play.
So I wrote the questions and the story, and used AI to turn that into a full, working game, the art, the site, all of it, in about a week. That part still amazes me and shows just how much the world has changed.

Who hunted The Long Trail?
The Long Trail was hunted by Jack Casady ⚓️. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
